Ephalon - Triumvirate
Chapter 1 - Desperation
Arc 1 - Book 1
Ephalon
To wake up one day, and remember nothing of what transpired the previous weeks, such a horrible fate; a fate that one Rhea Loveheart shares. This young woman seeks answers as to why her home village of Kuronai burned to the ground. The general consensus is that a group of bandits ransacked it overnight, yet, it doesn't explain her apparent amnesia.

A few months after the fact, a mysterious stranger arrives at the ruins of Kuronai, intent on uncovering its secrets. He doesn't believe the version of events is as clear cut as people make it out to be. The man, after a brief investigation, discovers odd black markings dotting the ground. No matter what he tries, they can't be removed. With fervent desire to reveal the truth, he goes in search of his only lead, the sole survivor, Miss Loveheart.

The meeting of these two individuals, is it merely coincidence or is a higher power at work weaving the strands of fate? Regardless, one thing is for sure; when this mysterious stranger encounters Rhea, it sets in motion a series of events that cascade throughout time itself, altering the future of Ephalon; setting it down a path that no one could have predicted.

The duo will travel far and wide across the continent of Erafar; along their journey, they will encounter existing friends and create new ones; but they will also confront enemies who intend to put a stop to their truth-seeking. Ultimately, their quest will lead them to uncover a mystery dating as far back as the very inception of Ephalon itself.

The fantasy book Ephalon takes place in an original setting, on a planet of the same name. A major part of its history is that humans were not the first sentient species. This fact is but one of many fundamental changes that play a significant role in how the world developed over time.

Ephalon is the first part of a fantasy-epic arc trilogy, but don't fret, it can also be read as a standalone story.

Arc 3 - Book 1
Darkest Depths
The world of Ephalon has entered the Sixth Era, better known as the age of hyper-technology. Fusion energy was the first step, and soon thereafter came the discovery of an alien wreckage inside of Mount Arramore. The decades following its discovery led to the creation of various new technologies; two of which stood out above all else: the flexible metal-mesh known as arcturian-weave, and a new alloy called Lyndrite.
Both of these substances retain properties never thought possible and have propelled two specific fields of science into a revolution. For this tale, the focus lies with the arcturian-weave, which resulted in a global-government led joint venture, known as project Arcturos. Its goal was simple, to build a sea-faring vessel capable of reaching the deepest parts of the ocean floor, and bring the planet's oldest secrets into the light.
It has been sixty years since the discovery of the alien wreckage, and project Arcturos is about to launch. A brave crew of thirty souls are about to embark on a journey to a region of Ephalon never thought reachable.
Join the science team of Rhea Arramore, her half-brother Dehl Lethose, the ever-friendly aquatic dragoness Ceres Bluewave, and the ingenious mind of Ward Hathoway, as they travel beyond the Kraad ocean's abyssal depths. What they find will change not only the course of history going forwards, but reveal a long-buried truth that will reshape the past as they know it.

Ephalon - Darkest Depths is the first part of the future arc trilogy, and although it continues the story of the prior fantasy and urban trilogy; you do not need to have read them to understand everything. However, I do encourage you to read them first if you want to grasp the full context as they add a lot of flavour text, and help elucidate the hidden overarching story plot throughout the entire series; which will reach its ultimate conclusion in book nine.
