The fifth Era - part 1
The final months together
After the death of Lord Maeyl, Daniel and I returned to Caldrigo. We informed the leaders of the city of the news and left not long after. I do miss the library; I hope it is in good hands. Daniel assured me that we no longer needed it, at the time I found it a bit hard to swallow. It wasn't until we parted ways that he revealed to me why we no longer needed it. It is the very thing I am not allowed to share in my writings, even what little I've jotted down as I am doing now might already be too much. I shall refrain from further mentioning it.
We travelled south to the continent of Enterra. I had never been there before, such a beautiful place. The landscape is as varied as Erafar, though most of it is made up of hills and fields much resembling the Dowder plains. I often wonder if that region ever recovered from the massive damage it sustained during the battle of Dowder.
We travelled to the very southern edge of Enterra, and it was in that place that Daniel started acting differently. I can't say what it was, but it was like something had possessed him. He often started rambling in his dreams about finding out the truth. To this day I still don't know what he meant, and it wasn't long after that we parted ways. I was free now, no longer bound to servitude. I was happy and sad, for at that moment I lost a good friend.
A formal introduction
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Reina Thole-Set. I originally hail from the continent of Arack, but after some unforeseen circumstances aboard a transport ship heading to Orythorn, I ended up captured and bound to serve a new master in the very place I was fleeing to.
It wasn't until the end of the third Era that a man named Daniel found me whilst I was trying to escape. He was fond of my love for the written word and offered a way of escape, so I accepted, and I have been bound to serve him ever since. Daniel was far kinder to me than anyone else had ever been, could it have been love? I cannot say, my life until that point had been filled with a lot of misery, love was not a concept I had experienced before.

In his absence, I have been charged to take up his duty as a historian. To help with this, I have been gifted an object of which I am not allowed to speak, but it will greatly aid me in my goal to record the many events that transpire across Ephalon.
Dear reader, please join me as I travel across the lands to document all the major events throughout the fifth Era.
